Service Description

Program Description This program provides students with the opportunity to acquire the appropriate knowledge, skill, certificates, and experiences to compete for positions as engineers in the autonomous driving industry. This program will first provide students the opportunity to learn the basic skills related to autonomous driving, such as linear algebra and optimization, and signal processing. This program will then present students with a set of topics to provide them with the opportunity to round out their fundamental knowledge of architecture, safety, and design for autonomous driving. The program then includes practical courses to help students become familiar with autonomous driving-related tools such as PREEvision, CANalyzer, and MATLAB Simulink. The second half of the course focuses on the core system of an autonomous driving car. Initially, students will be introduced to the Image Processing and Recognition System to learn about core algorithms of image processing and artificial intelligence (AI) for computer vision. Students are then introduced to robotic systems including four components: localization, operating, reinforcement learning for decision, and navigation. Students then take practical courses and become familiar with robotic system tools. Educational Objectives (EO) At the completion of this program the student will be able to: ● Completely understand key components of an autonomous driving car ● Understand the key tools to design and repair an autonomous driving car ● Understand deep learning and reinforcement learning ● Understand planning and navigation algorithms for autonomous driving ● Understand the structure and function of the intelligent system of an autonomous driving car ● Be able to design the core system of an autonomous driving car General Introduction ● Basics of Linear Algebra and Optimization ● Basics of Probability Theory and Statistics ● Programming Methodology in Python and PyTorch ● Introduction to Data Structure and Algorithm Design ● Basics of Signal Processing ● Basics of Machine Learning Automotive Fundamentals ● Introduction to Autonomous Driving Vehicle ● Introduction to Automotive E/E Architecture ● In-Vehicle Networking Fundamentals ● Introduction to Automotive Functional Safety ● Motor Design and its Drive System ● Chassis System Design Fundamentals Practical Courses of Autonomous Driving Tools Image Processing and Recognition System Robot Operating System of Autonomous Driving
